VION has announced that the sale of Oerlemans Foods to Baltussen has been cancelled. No agreement was reached concerning the definitive conditions and price for Oerlemans Foods.

VION announced the intended sale on 11 January 2013 because Oerlemans Foods no longer constitutes part of the company's core activities. For the time being, Oerlemans Foods will retain its position within the VION Food Group.

Thanks to its strategic initiatives, VION said that Oerlemans Foods has managed to develop itself even further. This has led to a substantial improvement in financial performance.

In 2013, according to the company, Oerlemans Foods saw positive developments in the markets in which it is active. With a focus on tailor-made solutions for, and in collaboration, with clients, VION said that it believes that Oerlemans Foods' near future looks very positive.
