Burgers have gone gourmet, and chicken has undergone the premium treatment. Now the roast beef sandwich is getting its chance to shine at Top Round Roast Beef in Los Angeles.

The new concept restaurant will offer a menu of six regionally inspired roast beef sandwiches, curly fries and frozen desserts starting June 17. The restaurant is the creation of four fine-dining chefs and foodservice operators: Anthony Carron, chef and owner of 800 Degrees pizza restaurant; Noah Ellis, co-owner of Red Medicine in Beverly Hills; Steven Fretz, formerly an executive chef for Curtis Stone, a celebrity chef; and Jamie Tiampo, an investor in several fine-dining establishments.

Top Round roast beef sandwiches will use meat from slow-roasted, whole top round cuts of Choice beef. All sandwiches will be served au jus with special seasoning on a toasted bun.
