Baskin-Robbins, an American global ice cream parlor, plans to develop a minimum of 20-25 stores in South Africa and 25-30 in Germany over the next several years.

The company is looking to tap major metropolitan areas across the two countries. This move is part of company's development strategy to strengthen its presence internationally.

Baskin-Robbins is seeking for qualified, multi-unit franchisee candidates to develop the brand in South Africa, with an initial focus on provinces in the south, north and east regions.

In Germany, the company will initially set up outlets in Berlin and Munich followed by Hamburg, Frankfurt and Stuttgart.

Dunkin' Brands International Development vice president Jeremy Vitaro said, "We are confident that Baskin-Robbins will be well-received internationally in these countries and are eager to extend the brand further to additional markets."

Baskin-Robbins currently has more than 7,000 retail stores across the globe.
