Brian Hayes, Minister Henkelof State for Public Service Reform and the Office of Public Works, made the trip to the Adhesive Technologies facility in Tallaght, Ireland, to look at the new investments in the production center and Research & Development site.

Mr. Hayes was invited to meet Henkel employees in Tallaght: The Minister was given a tour of the plant and had the opportunity to see the new investments and modifications as part of his role as local parliamentary representative for the Dublin South West constituency. He was welcomed by the site’s leadership team and shown new infrastructure including a new roof, a new ventilation system and new machine guarding equipment.

“Minister Hayes spoke to many of our colleagues, which was something he particularly enjoyed,” says Mark Hamlin, Director of Operations. “He then went to the R&D facility and saw demonstrations of several Henkel products, including the latest hybrid cyanoacrylate anaerobic technologies. It was a really positive visit that helps to raise the profile of our site within the local community, and raises the profile of Henkel in Ireland.”

The site in Tallaght was built in 1981. It produces cyanoacrylate adhesives – often used in superglue – as well as anaerobic adhesives for consumer and industrial markets across Europe, Asia Pacific and the IMEA region (India, Middle East and Africa). In addition to this the site is equipped to carry out bulk formulation for anaerobics and epoxies, bottling and packaging, warehousing and quality control. It also has space for administration and support functions.
