On October 12, 2012, the Indian Chamber of Commerce and Industry (ICCI) will set up a counter to facilitate the process of licensing and registration for its members and constituents at its premises in Kochi.

According to S Ramakrishnan, chief operating officer (COO) and secretary, ICCI, “We have invited consultants from the Food Safety and Standards Authority of India (FSSAI) to clarify any doubts about licensing.”

“G Srinivasan, deputy director of the Chennai unit of the country's apex food regulator, will also be at the venue to help FBOs obtain licences. If the documents are in order, the licence will be issued across the table,” he said.
