New City Packing Company, founded in 1884, operates a 60,000 ft ² distribution warehouse and meat cutting facility in Aurora, Illinois.

According to US Foods, this facility will become the new site of Stock Yards. Stock Yards is a supplier of steaks, meat and beef, which was acquired by US Foods in 2000. The current Stock Yards Chicago location will remain open into September 2012.

Stock Yards executive vice president David Norton said that Stock Yards has provided the quality steaks and chops to America's top restaurants for nearly 120 years.

"The addition of the New City Packing Company business and meat cutting operation will expand our customer base and greatly increase efficiencies," Norton added.

David Aardema, president of New City Packing Company, will be joining Stock Yard Chicago as general manager.

The Stock Yards Chicago location is one of 13 Stock Yards facilities operating across the country.
