Swiss multinational food and beverage company Nestlé is rumored to be exploring the possible sale of their frozen foods firm, Davigel.

Weekend reports from French news outlets including Les Echo say that Davigel, could be sold for about as much as €300 million.

On Monday, Reuters also reported that three sources close to the matter suggested potential buyers of the French frozen foods company could include Brake Brothers, Booker Group and even Sodexo.

Davigel, whose products are very popular not only in retail outlets but also restaurants, was part of the Buitoni company which Nestlé bought in 1989.

The world's largest food company and the maker of KitKat chocolate bars and Maggi soups, said in October it would dispose of underperforming businesses to slim down its sprawling portfolio which spans from baby food to bottled water firms.

Just this week, the Swiss group announced the sale of PowerBar energy bars and Musashi US holdings.
