Indena S.A.S. - part of the Indena group, a producer of plant-derived active principles for use in the pharmaceutical, health-food and personal care industries - and the Chinese Youcare Pharmaceutical Group participated in the Économique Franco-Chinois Forum, recently organised by the Comité France Chine to celebrate 50 years of diplomatic relations between the two countries on the occasion of the Chinese president’s visit in France.

The forum saw more than 500 participants, 220 of whom were managers of Chinese companies, and was officially closed by Xi Jinping, President of the People’s Republic of China, and François Hollande, President of the French Republic. Fifty agreements were signed among the companies represented. Indena S.A.S. and Youcare Pharmaceutical Group signed the only agreement in the pharmaceutical sector, aimed at improving their collaboration in producing a high quality botanical extract for the pharmaceutical market; the companies also said that they will cooperate in additional projects.

“Backed by 90-years tradition of a research-based company and thanks to the commitment towards excellence in our field of activity, we have a natural aptitude for listening to our customers worldwide and producing high quality extracts,” said François Mairel, Indena S.A.S. plant director. “The collaboration with Youcare is a perfect example of best practice in the pharma sector between two leading companies sharing their science and strengthening their business through innovation and collaboration.”

“The signing of the agreement between Indena and Youcare enhanced the mutual trust and enlarged the cooperation between the two companies, which also proved Youcare’s quality value and deep promise to human health,” said Yu Weishi, president of Youcare Pharmaceutical Group. “Youcare is pursuing to use first class and high-quality APIs, and providing high-quality drugs for the market.”
