Right Food Group, which is based in Murwillumbah in New South Wales, won the award with its Organic Noodle Kitchen product at the Biofach World Organic Trade Fair, which was held in Germany 13 to 16 February 2013.

The Organic Noodle Kitchen range, which has six flavours of steam, curly soup and instant noodles, beat hundreds of other entries in the cooking and baking category. The flavours are beetroot, charcoal, aoba, udon, spirulina and wholewheat.

The Biofach World Organic Trade Fair has over 40,000 visitors from across the globe, and this year it featured over 600 new products.

“This was our first time at the prestigious Biofach Fair in Germany. We entered the competition for experience only, so we are still astonished that it beat the rest of the world in the new product competition,” said Neil Sallaway, Right Food Group’s General Manager.

“Many of the entries in the competition were from large international corporations so it’s an achievement for a regional New South Wales-based company to take out the award,” said Holly Vyner, Manager of Australian Organic, organic certifier and advocacy group.

Australian Organic hosted a stand at the BioFach World Organic Trade Fair in 2013.
