Supported by FICCI and ASSOCHAM, the objectives of the Indo-French Cold Chain Summit, were twofold. The participating companies included Absoger (manufacturers of nitrogen generators, etc. for analysis in controlled atmosphere rooms); JF Cesbron (whose activities include refrigeration, air-conditioning, energy savings expertise and ice solar systems); Frappa (whose product range includes refrigerated semi-trailers, refrigerated bodywork; bodybuilders and other innovations); Janny MT (which undertakes preservation and post-harvest activities and ensures flexibility in a controlled atmosphere); Le Capitaine (manufacturers of refrigerated bodies); Petit Forestier (whose activities include refrigerated rental and vehicles, cold stores and display units) and Samifi (makers of freezing tunnels and refrigeration units).

It was co-organised by UBIFRANCE (the French agency for international business development under the aegis of the ministry for the economy, industry and employment, Government of France), the Association Francaise du Froid (AFF), the French Association for Refrigeration, and Cemafroid (known for its expertise in testing, certification and training). A few companies, such as Janny MT, are concerned with specific categories of products, such as fruit, vegetables, flowers and mushrooms.
