Peruvian Frozen Food Exports Plummet

According to the latest customs statistics elaborated by Agrodataperu, artichoke heart exports generated the most revenue, with $3.4 million, at an average price of $4.37 per kilo. Yellow peppers accounted for $820,000, at an average price of $2.43 per kilo, while kernel corn brought in $247,000.
The United States was the main export market at $3.9 million (61% of the total), followed by Spain, down to $1.1 million (17%) from last year's $3.5 million, and Italy, with $456,000 (7%). IQF del Peru led the list of exporters with sales amounting to $2.7 million (42% of the total), followed by Importadora y Exportadora Doña Isabel with $690,000 (11%) and Alsur SA with $489,000 (8%), among 38 other firms.
