Future frozen foods logistics concepts are on the agenda Feb. 25-27 at the 16th Cold Chain Logistics Conference and Trade Showof the European Cold Storage & Logistics Association (ECSLA) at the Crowne Plaza in Bruges, Belgium.

The event, organized in cooperation with Belgium's Beroeps Vereniging Der Belgische Vries en Koelnijverheid (BVBVK), will bring together 125-150 delegates from all segments of the cold chain for technical sessions, as well as the trade show and visits to frozen food facilities.

Topics range from worker safety to lobbying. Among the speakers are Steven op de Beeck, director of transport and external warehouses for the Delhaize Group, ob its e-commerce plans; Dr. Ir. René de Koster (Professor of Logistics and Operations Management( at( Erasmus University, on the role of operations managers; and Sven Verstrepen, business development director and founding partner of Tri-Vizor, on horizontal cooperation in the supply chain.

Post-conference side trips are to frozen food processor Ardo and discount supermarket operator Colruyt Group.
