The chicken and chipotle barbecue steam meal includes mangoes, roasted green beans, red onion and peppers with white-meat chicken and a sweet chipotle barbecue sauce on a bed of whole grain pilaf. The entree has 15 grams of protein and 6 grams of fiber per serving.
The Italian vegetable medley pasta steam meal features oven-dried tomatoes, edamame, broccoli, peppers, carrots and yellow squash with a creamy marinara sauce and whole grain rotini pasta. The meal contains 14 grams of protein and 8 grams of fiber per serving.
“The Kashi Steam Meal is designed for those who want to make nutritious food choices, but whose busy schedules may hold them back from eating right,” said Jeff Johnson, senior nutritionist and natural food and lifestyle expert at Kashi. “With the new Steam Meals for two, people can enjoy a tasty, flavorful meal together that’s ready in just minutes.”
The meals are available in the frozen section of grocery stores nationwide for a suggested retail price of $6.95.
