The chain, which currently has 44 Dunkin' Donuts restaurants throughout the state, is recruiting franchisees in North Carolina region.
The stores development in North Carolina is part of the company's long-term strategy to more than double its current footprint of more than 7,000 outlets in the US.
Dunkin' Brands franchising and business development vice president Grant Benson said, "Dunkin' Donuts is looking for qualified candidates with foodservice, operations and real estate experience to join our team to help expand the brand's footprint in Charlotte, Greensboro, Raleigh-Durham, Wilmington and Winston-Salem."
Founded in 1950, Dunkin' Donuts has more than 10,500 outlets in 31 countries worldwide.
The American doughnut and coffeehouse chain offers an all-day menu including iced coffee, flavored coffees, lattes, Dunkin' Donuts K-Cup Packs, Coolatta frozen drinks, muffins, bagels, breakfast sandwiches, and a DDSMART menu featuring better-for-you items.
