Minneapolis-based Schwan’s Consumer Brands launched new Brick Oven frozen pizza options under its Freschetta brand.

The new Chicken Club variety features premium white-meat chicken, cured and smoked bacon, vine-ripened tomatoes, spinach and a unique white sauce, all on a Brick Oven crust, while the Naturally Rising Margherita option is made on the signature crust that resembles fresh-baked bread. The traditional Italian-style artisan crust comes from high-heat ovens, resulting in a crust that is crispy on the outside and tender on the inside. Additionally, the new Naturally Rising Sausage and Pepperoni kind is loaded with premium pepperoni mixed with hand pinched-style sausage.

“With the introduction of Chicken Club to the Freschetta Brick Oven line, Schwan’s Consumer Brands is taking traditional to a new level, with a distinctive, homemade-style crust that complements the toppings that consumers love,” says Bob Waldron, president. “From the entry of our first Brick Oven-style pizza in 2001, our Freschetta products have proven time and again to be a pizza category game changer.”

All Freschetta pizzas feature only premium ingredients such as 100% real and all-natural cheeses; olive oil and sea salt; sauces made from ripe tomatoes; generously sliced vegetables picked at their peak and flash-frozen; and the finest meats, like special-recipe pepperoni, seasoned sausage and lean Canadian-style bacon.

The new Freschetta pizzas retail for $6.69 and are available in the frozen food section of grocers nationwide.
