Peru's farming trade balance reached a surplus of $423 million during the first 9 months of 2015 as the agricultural exports totalled at $3.501 billion.

Exports were led by coffee and avocados, followed by fresh asparagus, fresh and frozen mango, which expanded by 10%, 26% and 27% respectively.

During that period, there was an increase in these products exports to several nations such as Estonia (313%), Denmark (39%), England (22%), Chile (20%), South Korea (17%) and the Netherlands (7%), among others.

Between January and September, non-traditional agricultural exports equalled US$3.105 billion, a 0.3% decrease compared to the similar period in 2014. This sector accounted for 89% of the total agricultural exports.

Most demanded products on international marketS were fruits and green vegetables. For instance, fresh avocados, fresh asparagus and fresh grapes sales totalled US$296 million, US$278 million and US$235 million, respectively.

Similarly, fresh mangoes, cocoa grain, "Cavendish Valery" banana, quinoa and animal food sales equalled US$151 million, US$139 million, US$108 million, US$107 million and US$104 million, respectively.

Traditional agricultural exports totalled at $396 million.
