US-based Publix Super Markets has recalled Publix Baby Bella Sliced Mushrooms due to possible presence of pieces of glass.

The affected product has been sold in the produce department in an 8oz package, and features a UPC code of 4141502286 and Lot Code of PHG 096.

These products were distributed to all Publix retail locations in Florida, Georgia, South Carolina, Alabama, Tennessee and North Carolina.

The recall comes after receiving one customer complaint. However, there are no reports of injuries due to the recalled products.

Publix media and community relations director Maria Brous said, "As part of our commitment to food safety, potentially impacted product has been removed from all store shelves."

The company has advised consumers who have purchased the product to return the product to their local store for a full refund.
