Indore Sahakari Dugdha Sangh Maryadit was incorporated in 1976, is a cooperative dairy, which, along with four other similar unions, operates under a three tier structure, having farmers (milk suppliers) at the base and Madhya Pradesh Cooperative Dairy Federation (MPCDF) at the apex. The union procures milk from around 1,429 member village cooperative societies (VCS) consisting of around 50,000 farmers, which hold 65% stake in the union. The balance stake is held by GoMP (20%), Government of India (GoI; 10%) and MPCDF (5%).
The union had a total milk processing capacity of around 4.60 lakh litres per day (LLPD) – from its five milk processing plants in different districts of Madhya Pradesh.
