LBPAIL is a public limited company incorporated on January 17, 2012, under Companies Act 1956. It took over the operations of earlier Co-operative society – Loknete Baburao Patil Sahakari Sakhar Kharkhana Limited which was started by Mr Rajan Baburao Patil in the year 1999 with the initial crushing capacity of 1,250 tones of cane crushed per day (TCD) which has eventually increased and stands at 3,500 TCD as on March 31, 2015. In addition, company also has a co-generation plant of 20.40 Mega-Watt (MW), distillery with the capacity of 30 Kilo Liters per day (KLPD), biogas plant of 1.47 MW and compost manufacturing facility from press mud. The manufacturing facilities of the LBPAIL are located at Laxminagar, Angar,Solapur, Maharashtra. During SS 2014-15, LBPAIL crushed 7.96 lakh metric tonnes (MT) of sugar cane at an average recovery rate of 10.98%.
