Padmaraj T., who is in-charge of a HOPCOMS outlet in Indiranagar, told that vegetable prices have started increasing, especially of onions and tomatoes, as they come to the city from Maharashtra. The current price of onions and tomatoes is rising as well, since last week. Prices of lemon and pomegranate, which the city gets from Vijayapura, will also rise as the region is witnessing heavy rainfall. This would dampen the festival spirit this weekend.

Horticultural Producers' Cooperative Marketing and Processing Society (HOPCOMS) is the farmers' society that supplies fresh vegetables and fruits to many customers in the city.
